Lucy has been playing really hard lately. It's still super hot and sticky here, so you can only imagine how icky she is by the end of the day. The kids are definitely getting baths everyday now that Lucy is outside more and they love it!
Lucy's fascinated with our neighbor's cat, Aggie. We've been going out every night looking for Aggie. Aggie is more of a neighborhood cat, there are three yards that she roams between at the end of our cul-de-sac. Aggie's been favoring our yard lately, which makes Lucy exceptionally happy. Miss Darlene (one of our neighbors) gave Lucy a cat brush earlier this summer. Aggie LOVES Lucy and lets her poke and prod her. Tonight Lucy was trying to give Aggie a stick and Aggie would grab it with her paws and then let go. Lucy was guffawing. Those moments are so precious!
Lucy did really well at pre-school today. She didn't talk too much about it. She played with Kendall, drew a picture of her family, and played outside in the house. Gus and I dropped her off and went to run errands. We ran into Nordstrom and they had a Donald Duck Jibbitz (the little things that go into Lucy's Crocs). For the past two and half months we've been waiting for Donald to come in (we could've ordered him online, but it's more fun to go and check). After school I gave her Donald and she was so excited! She yelled "Donawd Duck" about three times!
Lucy's been watching a DVD that our neighbor uses for her kindergarten class to teach the kids the sounds of all the letters. She knows the sounds of most of the letters now. We probably spend two hours a day on letters. She loves to learn.
Tomorrow we're going to the museum to see the owl, pig, duck and blue frogs!
