It's strawberry season here in our part of the world. After mom picked Lucy up from school on Friday, she took Lucy and Gus strawberry picking. The kids had so much fun! They loved eating the strawberries, too!

A few weeks ago Ted and Darlene, our amazing neighbors, offered again to watch the kids if we needed help with anything. We took them up on it. Our lawn was a bit out of control and starting to look like a jungle. I can't be left alone with Gus and Dave can't mow with Gus outside. And trying to keep Gus in while Dave is mowing is near impossible. Gus LOVES to mow with his pretend mower. So Ted and Darlene watched the kids while Dave mowed. Darlene went to the Farmer's Market on Saturday morning and got fresh strawberries so she could make chocolate covered strawberries with the kids.

I didn't tell the kids what they were going to do while they were over there, I just told Lucy to grab their aprons from the basement. Lucy came upstairs with their aprons and the chef hat. She told Gus to put it on. Lucy typically always remembers where gifts come from, but for some reason, she does not remember that the hat is actually hers. She just assumes that it's a hat and Gus is the one who wears hats, which means it's his. Gus put the hat on and apparently didn't take it off until they were done with the strawberries.
The kids had so much fun. Ted took all the pictures that are on this post. We can take credit for the kids, not the pictures. We are incredibly grateful that are kids have an abundance of people who love them and continually give them so many wonderful experiences.
