Go ahead...

I forgot some very sweet details from Saturday and wanted to remember them, so I thought I'd add them to the blog. When we sat down at the Cheesecake Factory, Lucy took the napkin, unfolded it underneath the table, and put it on her lap. It was the first thing she did when we got to the table! She managed to keep the napkin on her lap for the entire meal. I've talked about what we do with napkins once or twice before, but I had no idea she would remember and really do it!

We do cheers (like rah-rah, go team) at our house. That's right, cheers. Dave can do a great toe-touch! Anyway, when Dave does a cheer he starts out by clearing his throat. A few months ago Lucy started doing cheers, too. She started by clearing her throat, hilarious! Anyway, lately she's been standing in front of the fireplace to do her cheers (the hearth is a little raised, it's like a stage for her). On Saturday night she started doing cheers. We all laughed, clapped, and cheered for her cheer. When she was done she went to Dave and said "Daddy's tuwn (turn), pweese (please). Go ahead, Daddy." When she said "Go ahead" she had one hand on Dave's back and her other hand out in the direction of the fireplace. He had to do a cheer then.

Lately Gus is in love with Jack's Big Music Show. It can keep his attention for a full 20 minutes. He loves pounding his hands on things, pretending he's playing the drums.

We had a very relaxing Sunday. We went to the late service, so nice to have a laid back Sunday morning. It was our church's ten year anniversary service. Phenomenal. We are so glad to be a part of Crosspointe! We didn't do much the rest of the day. The usual football and naps.

Karen and the boys are coming for dinner tonight. Tomorrow is Lucy's big harvest party at school. Wednesday we're going to the museum. No plans yet for Thursday or Friday.
