Somehow, in our mixed up world, the Easter bunny is completely fine and we can easily get behind lying to our kids about an imaginary bunny who gives candy. I can't even begin to understand why we're okay with the Easter bunny, but have a hard time explaining the resurrection of Jesus. I suppose we'll be doing some re-evaluting. Dave went out on Saturday night and got stuff for the Easter baskets. Lucy and Gus were both so excitecd about the Easter bunny coming and they didn't know where he would come since they weren't at home. It turns out the Easter bunny made a stop at Mama and Papa's (thanks to our neighbor Ms. Darlene), at our house, and the hospital. Dave went and got the kids in the afternoon and took them to our house for a little bit. The sly bunny left a trail of plastic eggs to the pantry where their Easter baskets were full. Then the kids came to the hospital and there were a few full eggs hidden in our room. The kids were thrilled.
Later on Sunday night mom and Jim came to the hospital to see Judson. Dave drove the kids around, so mom and Jim could come in and visit without the chaos of a two and three year old in the room, too.
On the new baby front, Judson passed the car seat test and his bilirubin test. He's doing really well.
