We had a wonderful weekend with Dave's side of the family. It was a quick trip, just Saturday and Sunday, but so good. Dave, Gus, and I went to the Pottery Barn outlet on Saturday afternoon. Amazing. The deals were out of this world. Lucy was able to stay with Mama and Papa all by herself. They decorated eggs and had their own Easter egg hunts. Lucy took a nap there Saturday and Sunday, we didn't have to drive her all around town so she would sleep in the car! Both kids also slept through the night. Easter was so much more enjoyable with a full night's worth of sleep.

The Easter bunny came and left the kids baskets full of goodies. Lucy wanted a pink kleenex box with pink kleenex. She's always getting into mine and wanting to use my kleenex for kites or blankets. I think she got the idea that if she had her own she could do whatever she wanted with them. The Easter bunny came through and she got some pink kleenex. She's been very frugal with her own kleenex, after she uses them (not on her nose, to play with), she stuffs them back in the box.

We went to church on Sunday morning. At our church we typically check the kids into Sunday school, but we didn't want to do it at an unfamiliar place, so we tried keeping them in the service with us. Operative word: tried. They lasted about 20 minutes. Which is about 10 minutes longer than the previous two Easters. Lucy was a riot. When we were praying I looked down at her and she whispered to me, "Mommy you supposed to be pwaying (praying)." When the congregation would say "Amen," Lucy would let out a big "AMEN." The minister said "Pull out your Bibles and turn to..." Lucy panicked, looked at me and Dave, and said, "You foegot(forgot) you Byeboe (Bible)!" She is such a rule follower.

The rest of the afternoon was pretty laid back. We tried posing for our annual picture in front of the house. We couldn't get one with all four of us smiling. Such is life. The kids took naps in the sun room. Lucy refused to take off her dress until after dinner. Easter dinner was amazing. I love good food! The kids did well on the way home. The whole weekend seemed to fly by!
