The weather has finally warmed up and it's stopped raining, so we've gone outside the past few days. The kids were thrilled that we could go out and play. Our backyard still isn't done, so we do most of our playing in the front yard and the cul-de-sac. The kids love their wagon and the slide. They especially love Aggie the cat and Maggie the dog. Aggie was hanging out in our front yard and Gus saw her and said "Ag-guh," his version of Aggie. So sweet.
Dave gets all sorts of great prizes from work. We got a navigation system a few weeks ago and we plugged it in the other day to use it for the first time. We decided we'd go to our destination the way the navigation system directed us (the voice is Jane from New Zealand). Jane said "Turn Left in 200 yards." Lucy said "Thank you!" It was like Lucy thought someone was really in the car directing us. There is so much new construction around us that the maps can't keep up. We took the expressway home (it's been completed for about 8 months) and Jane had no idea that leg of the expressway was completed. It looked pretty silly on the map, we were the little arrow moving along in the middle of no where, with no road in sight. When we got on an older road, Jane was able to pick up and direct us home. It's just a fun gadget, but not something we can really rely here with all the construction.
On Saturday we went to the mall and got Gus Crocs. He's been seriously wanting some Crocs. He pulls Lucy's out of the cubby holes and puts them on. He looks a little silly with purple and pink Crocs, so we got him brown ones with baseball and football Jibbitz. He was thrilled when we handed them to him! Gus smiled so big, almost in disbelief that he could have his own Crocs. He wears them well!
