Chicago

We left Dayton late in the morning on the 26th. We stopped in Indy for lunch at Famous Dave's. Man, was that lunch good! We got to Chicago right as the Bears game was getting out. Dave humored me and we drove to down Lake Shore Drive. It was so great seeing the skyline and seeing the city!
We got to Dave's sister and brother-in-law's house right before dinner. The three day play-date started then! Gigi is five months younger than Lucy and Jonathan is six months younger than Gus.
On Monday we celebrated Gigi's 5th birthday. Gigi and Lucy got make-overs at Sweet and Sassy. It was incredibly cute! The amount of glitter involved was crazy. Crazy. They got their hair done, make-up, and manicures. And then the boys came and they sang songs on the stage. It was adorable! We were so glad we could celebrate with them! We had cake, ice cream, and pizza back at the house. For dinner we went to Leona's. It was such a wonderful day.
On Tuesday, we went downtown. The guys dropped us off to look at the windows at Macy's (it used to be Marshall Field's). My mom took me when I was younger, so I felt like it was something I wanted to give my kids. It was totally not the same! It was dainty, nothing like it used to be. Then we went to American Girl, we're taking Lucy there for her 6th birthday in the summer, so we wanted to sneek a peak. We had lunch at Water Tower and went to the Hershey's store. It was such a great visit. I'm so glad we were able to spend time together and our kids can get to know their cousins!
